Investment Policy
The Fund adopts a flexible investment policy and may allocate its assets across equity securities, debt securities, hybrid securities, deposits, investment units of mutual funds, property sector funds, property funds, units of Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs), infrastructure funds, foreign real estate investment vehicles, securities issued by foreign infrastructure funds, Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) that primarily invest in REITs (REIT ETFs), and/or other securities and assets, or other forms of investment permitted by the Office of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
The Fund may invest in the aforementioned asset classes in proportions ranging from 0% to 100% of the Fund’s Net Asset Value (NAV), depending on market conditions and the Investment Manager’s outlook. The Fund may also invest overseas, provided that the average exposure to foreign investments during an accounting year does not exceed 79% of the Fund’s NAV.
The Fund may, at the discretion of the Investment Manager, invest in financial derivative instruments (FDIs) for purposes of efficient portfolio management (EPM) and/or to hedge foreign exchange rate risk.
In addition, the Fund may invest in units of mutual funds, property funds, Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs), or infrastructure funds that are managed by the Management Company, in an aggregate proportion of up to 100% of the Fund’s NAV.
The Management Company reserves the right to change the Fund’s category and special characteristics in the future to a Feeder Fund or a Fund of Funds, or to revert to a fund that invests directly in domestic and/or foreign securities and financial instruments, provided that such changes do not result in an increase in the Fund’s overall risk spectrum. Any such change shall be made at the discretion of the Investment Manager based on prevailing market conditions and with due consideration to the best interests of unitholders. The Management Company will provide unitholders with at least 30 days’ prior notice before implementing such changes by publishing the relevant information on the Management Company’s website and the websites of distributors or redemption agents (if any).
