Investment Policy
The Fund will primarily invest in units of a foreign collective investment scheme (the Master Fund), with an average investment of not less than 80% of the Fund’s Net Asset Value (NAV) during an accounting year.
The Master Fund is PICTET – Robotics, specifically Class I Shares denominated in U.S. Dollars (USD). The Master Fund is domiciled in and established under the laws of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and is structured as a Soci?t? d’Investissement ? Capital Variable (SICAV). The Master Fund is managed by Pictet Asset Management (Europe) S.A.
The investment objective of PICTET – Robotics (the “Master Fund”) is to achieve long-term capital growth through investments primarily in equity securities and equity-related instruments, including, but not limited to, convertible bonds, warrants, American Depositary Receipts (ADRs), and Global Depositary Receipts (GDRs), issued by companies that are involved in, or derive significant benefits from, the development and advancement of robotics and related technologies.
The Master Fund primarily invests in companies engaged in businesses associated with robotics and technological innovation, including, but not limited to:
Robotics applications and robotic components;
Automation and autonomous systems;
Microcontrollers and sensor technologies;
3D printing technologies;
Data processing and analytics;
Computer vision technologies;
Motion and voice recognition technologies; and
Other technology and software-related businesses.
Investments will be made in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements and investment guidelines.
The Fund may, at the discretion of the Fund Manager, invest in financial derivative instruments (FDIs) for the purpose of hedging foreign exchange rate risk.
Investment Management Strategy
LH Robotics-E Fund seeks to achieve investment results that closely correspond to the performance of the Master Fund and therefore adopts a Passive Management strategy.
The Master Fund, in turn, seeks to achieve performance that closely tracks its reference benchmark through a passive investment approach.
Management Style: Passive Management
Investment Objective: To provide investment returns that closely track the performance of PICTET – Robotics, a global thematic fund focused on robotics, automation, artificial intelligence, and other technological innovations.
