Investment Policy
The Fund has a policy to invest in and/or hold units of two or more foreign collective investment schemes (“Underlying Funds”), including, but not limited to, CIS units and/or Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs). On an average annual basis, the Fund will invest not less than 80% of its Net Asset Value (NAV) in such Underlying Funds. The Underlying Funds invest primarily in equity securities of companies listed on stock exchanges in Vietnam, and/or equity securities of Vietnamese enterprises listed on other stock exchanges, which are considered to possess strong growth potential and/or favorable long-term growth prospects. The Underlying Funds may also invest in other equity securities of companies whose businesses are related to, benefit from, or derive a substantial portion of their assets or revenues from the economic growth of Vietnam. The Fund will diversify its investments among multiple Underlying Funds, with the investment in any single Underlying Fund averaging not more than 79% of the Fund’s NAV during an accounting year. The remaining portion of the Fund’s assets may be invested both domestically and internationally in deposit-like instruments, deposits, fixed-income securities, equity securities, hybrid securities, warrants, and other securities, assets, or alternative income-generating investments as permitted under the Fund’s prospectus and/or as approved or prescribed by the Office of the Securities and Exchange Commission of Thailand (SEC). Use of Derivatives The Fund may invest in financial derivative instruments (FDIs) for Efficient Portfolio Management (EPM) and/or for hedging foreign exchange risk, at the discretion of the Fund Manager. Such transactions may include, among others, swaps, forwards, and futures contracts referencing securities prices, interest rates, and/or other underlying assets, in accordance with applicable SEC regulations. Other Investments and Transactions The Fund may also invest in or hold: Structured Notes; Non-Investment Grade debt securities; Unrated debt securities; Unlisted securities; Securities lending transactions; Reverse repurchase agreements (Reverse Repo); Other assets or alternative income-generating investments as permitted under the Fund prospectus and applicable SEC regulations. Investments in Affiliated Funds The Fund may invest in units of mutual funds, property funds, Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs), and/or infrastructure funds managed by the same asset management company, provided that such investments do not exceed 20% of the Fund’s NAV. In cases where an Underlying Fund is a property fund or infrastructure fund, the Fund may invest up to 20% of the total outstanding units of such Underlying Fund. Any such investment shall comply with the Fund’s investment policy and all applicable SEC rules and regulations. Furthermore: Circular investment is prohibited; Underlying Funds may not invest back into the Fund. Cascade investment is prohibited; Underlying Funds may not invest in other funds managed by the same asset management company. Fund Structure Flexibility The Management Company reserves the right to change the Fund’s structure and classification in the future from a Fund of Funds to a Feeder Fund, or to a fund investing directly in foreign securities and/or foreign assets, and vice versa, provided that such changes do not result in an increase in the Fund’s risk spectrum. Any such change will be at the discretion of the Fund Manager, taking into account prevailing market conditions and the best interests of unitholders. The Management Company will provide unitholders with at least 30 days’ prior notice before implementing any such change, through announcements on the Management Company’s website and the websites of appointed selling or redemption agents (if any). Investment Strategy The Fund employs an actively managed investment strategy, seeking to outperform its benchmark through active asset allocation, fund selection, and portfolio management (Active Management).
