Investment Policy
The Fund’s investment policy is to invest in Thai government-sector securities, including Treasury bills, Government Bonds, Bank of Thailand Bonds, bonds, bills of exchange, promissory notes, and debentures for which the Ministry of Finance or the Financial Institutions Development Fund (FIDF), as applicable, acts as the issuer, drawer, acceptor, aval guarantor, endorser, or guarantor. The Fund will primarily invest in Government Bonds, bonds with principal and interest guaranteed by the Ministry of Finance, or debentures with principal and interest guaranteed by the Ministry of Finance. Convertible debentures are excluded. Such investments may include Green Bonds, Sustainability Bonds, and Sustainability-Linked Bonds. The Fund will maintain an average annual net exposure of not less than 80% of its Net Asset Value (NAV) in the aforementioned assets. For the remaining portion of its portfolio, the Fund may invest both domestically and internationally in other government-sector debt instruments, fixed-income securities, deposits or deposit-equivalent instruments, promissory notes, certificates of deposit, hybrid securities, CIS units, as well as other securities and/or assets, or engage in other income-generating activities as prescribed or approved by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and/or the Office of the SEC. In addition, the Fund may invest in derivatives for efficient portfolio management and/or hedging purposes, with underlying assets including one or more of the following: interest rates, foreign exchange rates, credit ratings, or credit events. Should the underlying assets exhibit significant volatility, investment views prove incorrect, or counterparties fail to meet their contractual obligations when due, the Fund may incur losses from derivative transactions. The Management Company may adjust the Fund’s investments or derivative positions as deemed appropriate under prevailing market conditions to maximize benefits for unitholders. The Management Company will analyze and continuously monitor factors affecting the value of the underlying assets and assess the creditworthiness of counterparties before and during transactions. The Fund will primarily transact with counterparties having Investment Grade credit ratings. The Fund may also invest in Structured Notes. The Fund may invest in hybrid securities, Basel III-compliant instruments, and/or derivatives whose underlying assets are hybrid securities or Basel III-compliant instruments, provided that the aggregate exposure does not exceed 20% of the Fund’s NAV. The Fund may invest in debt securities rated below Investment Grade and/or unrated debt securities, with total exposure not exceeding 20% of the Fund’s NAV. The Fund may invest up to 20% of its NAV in units of mutual funds managed by the same Management Company.
