Investment Objective
The Fund invests in units of an offshore mutual fund (the “Master Fund”) whose investment policy focuses on gold and aims to provide returns that closely track the price of gold. The Fund will maintain an average exposure of at least 80% of its Net Asset Value (NAV) in the Master Fund over an accounting year. The designated Master Fund is the SPDR Gold Trust (the “Master Fund”), which primarily invests in physical gold bullion.
Investment Policy
The Fund has a policy to invest in units of an offshore mutual fund (the “Master Fund”) that invests in gold and seeks to provide investment returns that closely correspond to the performance of the gold price. The Fund will maintain an average investment of not less than 80% of its Net Asset Value (NAV) in the Master Fund over an accounting year. The LH Gold Fund invests in units of the SPDR Gold Trust (the “Master Fund”), which primarily invests in physical gold bullion with the objective of providing investment results that closely track the performance of the price of gold. The Master Fund is established and managed by World Gold Trust Services, LLC, a company organized under the laws of the United States of America (USA) and owned by the World Gold Council (WGC), a non-profit organization. The Master Fund is listed on the stock exchanges of New York, Japan, Hong Kong, and Singapore. The Management Company will execute investments in the Master Fund through the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) and will invest primarily in U.S. Dollars (USD) as the principal investment currency. The Fund may invest in financial derivative instruments (FDIs) for the purpose of hedging foreign exchange risk and/or efficient portfolio management (EPM), at the discretion of the Fund Manager. Such decisions will be based on prevailing market conditions and other relevant factors, including economic, political, monetary, and fiscal conditions. The Management Company reserves the right to change the Fund’s structure and classification in the future to a Fund of Funds, a fund investing directly in foreign securities and/or financial instruments, or to revert to a Feeder Fund, provided that such change does not increase the Fund’s investment risk spectrum. Any such change shall be subject to the Fund Manager’s discretion, taking into consideration prevailing market conditions and the best interests of unitholders. The Management Company will provide unitholders with at least 30 days’ prior notice before implementing any such change by publishing an announcement on the Management Company’s website and the websites of appointed selling and/or redemption agents (if any).
