Investment Policy
The Fund primarily invests in units of an overseas collective investment scheme (the “Master Fund”) with an equity investment mandate. On average over an accounting year, the Fund will invest not less than 80% of its Net Asset Value (NAV) in the Master Fund. Specifically, LH Global Equity Passive Fund invests in units of iShares MSCI ACWI ETF (the “Master Fund”), a U.S. dollar (USD)-denominated exchange-traded fund listed on the NASDAQ Stock Market. The Master Fund is incorporated in the United States of America (USA) and is managed by BlackRock Fund Advisors (BFA). The iShares MSCI ACWI ETF seeks to generate investment results that correspond generally to the performance of the MSCI ACWI Index (the “Reference Index”). The Reference Index comprises large- and mid-capitalization equities across both developed and emerging markets worldwide. The Master Fund will invest at least 80% of its assets in the equity securities constituting the Reference Index. The remaining portion, not exceeding 20% of the Master Fund’s assets, may be invested in futures contracts, options, certain swap contracts, cash and cash equivalents, including shares of money market funds advised or managed by BlackRock Fund Advisors or its affiliates, as well as other assets not included in the Reference Index but considered effective in helping the Master Fund closely track the performance of the Reference Index. The Master Fund seeks to achieve investment results, before fees and expenses, that closely correspond to the performance of the Reference Index. The Fund may invest in derivatives for the purposes of: Efficient Portfolio Management (EPM); and/or Hedging foreign exchange rate risk, at the discretion of the Fund Manager, taking into consideration prevailing market conditions and other relevant factors. In addition, the Fund may invest in or hold structured notes and/or other assets, or seek returns through other investment methods as specified in the prospectus and/or as prescribed, approved, or permitted by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the Office of the SEC. The Fund may invest in units of mutual funds, property funds, Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs), and/or infrastructure funds under the management of the Management Company, provided that such investments do not exceed 20% of the Fund’s Net Asset Value. The Management Company reserves the right to change the Fund’s classification and special characteristics in the future to a Fund of Funds, a fund investing directly in foreign securities and/or financial instruments, or to revert the Fund to a Feeder Fund, provided that such change does not result in an increase in the Fund’s investment risk spectrum. Any such change shall be subject to the Fund Manager’s discretion, taking into account prevailing market conditions and acting in the best interests of the unitholders. The Management Company will provide prior notice to unitholders at least 30 days before the implementation of such change through the Management Company’s website and the websites of the Fund’s selling agents and/or redemption agents (if any). Further information on the Master Fund is available at: https://www.ishares.com/us/products/239600/ishares-msci-acwi-etf The Master Fund employs a passive investment strategy designed to track the performance of its benchmark index.
