Investment Policy
The Fund primarily invests in units of a foreign collective investment scheme (the “Master Fund”) with an equity-focused investment mandate. The Fund will, on average over an accounting year, invest not less than 80% of its Net Asset Value (NAV) in the Master Fund. Specifically, LH Global Equity Passive Fund invests in units of the iShares MSCI ACWI ETF (the “Master Fund”), which is denominated in U.S. Dollars (USD), listed on the NASDAQ Stock Market, incorporated in the United States, and managed by BlackRock Fund Advisors (BFA). The Master Fund invests at least 80% of its assets in equity securities that are constituents of the Benchmark Index. The remaining portion, not exceeding 20% of the Fund’s assets, may be invested in: Futures contracts; Options; Certain swap agreements; Cash and cash equivalents; Shares of money market funds advised or managed by BlackRock Fund Advisors or its affiliates; and Other securities not included in the Benchmark Index but which are expected to assist the Fund in closely tracking the performance of the Benchmark Index. The Master Fund aims to deliver investment results, before fees and expenses, that closely correspond to the performance of the Benchmark Index. The Fund may invest in derivatives for: Efficient Portfolio Management (EPM) purposes; and/or Foreign Exchange Risk Hedging at the discretion of the Fund Manager, taking into consideration prevailing market conditions and other relevant factors. In addition, the Fund may invest in or hold: Structured Notes containing embedded derivatives; and/or Other eligible assets and investment instruments permitted under the Fund’s prospectus and applicable regulations approved by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). The Fund may invest in units of: Mutual funds, Property funds, Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs), and/or Infrastructure funds, managed by the same Management Company, provided that the aggregate investment does not exceed 20% of the Fund’s NAV. The Management Company reserves the right to alter the Fund’s structure and classification in the future from a Feeder Fund to a Fund of Funds, or to a fund investing directly in foreign securities and/or overseas assets, and vice versa, without increasing the Fund’s overall risk spectrum. Such changes will be made at the discretion of the Fund Manager based on market conditions and with the objective of serving the best interests of unitholders. The Management Company will notify unitholders at least 30 days in advance of any such change through the Management Company’s website and the websites of appointed selling agents and/or redemption agents (if any).
