Investment Objective
The Fund primarily invests in units of an offshore mutual fund with a global equity investment policy (the “Master Fund”), with an average investment of not less than 80% of the Fund’s Net Asset Value (NAV) during an accounting year. The Master Fund in which the Fund invests is the GMO Quality Investment Fund (the “Master Fund”), which is domiciled in Luxembourg.
Investment Policy
The Fund primarily invests in units of an offshore mutual fund with a global equity investment mandate (the “Master Fund”), with an average investment of not less than 80% of the Fund’s Net Asset Value (NAV) over an accounting year. The Master Fund in which the Fund invests is the GMO Quality Investment Fund (the “Master Fund”), which is domiciled in Ireland and authorized under the UCITS (Undertakings for Collective Investment in Transferable Securities) framework. The Fund will invest in the Class USD shares of the Master Fund, which are denominated in U.S. Dollars (USD). The Master Fund is established and managed by Waystone Management Company (IE) Limited, with investment management delegated to Grantham, Mayo, Van Otterloo & Co. LLC (GMO LLC). The GMO Quality Investment Fund seeks to invest in equities and equity-related securities that the Investment Manager considers to be of high quality. The Master Fund may invest in equity securities of companies listed or traded on regulated markets worldwide, including those located in Emerging Market Countries. The Master Fund may, at the discretion of the Investment Manager, utilize financial derivative instruments (FDIs) for hedging purposes, particularly to mitigate foreign exchange rate risk. The Management Company reserves the right to change the share class and/or investment currency as deemed appropriate for efficient portfolio management and in pursuit of the Fund’s investment objectives. Any such change shall be deemed approved by the unitholders. In all cases, the Management Company will give due consideration to, and act in the best interests of, the unitholders. For domestic investments, the LH Global Equity Fund may enter into reverse repurchase transactions (reverse repos) and/or engage in securities lending transactions. The Fund may also invest in or hold non-investment grade debt securities, unrated debt securities, and unlisted securities. In addition, the Fund may invest domestically and internationally in bank deposits, debt instruments, hybrid securities, warrants, and/or private equity units, in accordance with the regulations of the Office of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). The Fund may also invest in other securities and/or assets, or seek returns through other means as specified in the Fund’s prospectus and as prescribed or approved by the SEC Board or the SEC Office. The Fund will not invest in structured notes or other instruments with embedded derivatives.
